ACT I. SCENE I. A desert place. Thunder and lightning. Enter three Witches. FIRST WITCH. When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning, or in rain? SECOND WITCH. When the hurlyburly's done, When the battle's lost and won. THIRD WITCH. That will be ere the set of sun. FIRST WITCH. Where the place? SECOND WITCH. Upon the heath. THIRD WITCH. There to meet with Macbeth. FIRST WITCH. I come, Graymalkin. ALL. Fair is foul, and foul is fair. Hover through the fog and filthy air. Exeunt.

제1막.  제1장.  (황야) 천둥, 번개가 치며 세 마녀가 등장한다. 마녀1  우리 언제 다시 만날까?          천둥 칠 때, 번개 칠 때, 아니면 비 내릴 때? 마녀2  이 소동이 끝났을때, 승패가 갈렸을 때 만나자. 마녀3  그러면 해 지기 전이겠네. 마녀1  장소는 어디로 하지? 마녀2  황야에서 만나. 마녀3  거기서 멕베스와 만나자. 마녀1 이제 간다. 야옹아. 마녀 일동  아름다운 것은 추한 것. 추한 것은 아름다운 것.                안개 낀 더러운 공기 속을 날아다니자.
